Alex Kamara Studio is an independent design practice based in Manchester. The studio works by commission and selection across visual identity, web design, image-making, editorial, and publications.
Alex Kamara is a British Sierra Leonean designer with 9 years of experience across image-making, visual identity, editorial, web design, and publications. The work began with a first portfolio and a place at Central Saint Martins.
The influences that shape the work are wide: Africa and Europe, Eastern and Western design, graffiti culture, street typography and music. He purposely built the practice at the intersection of those things in order to make work that looks and feels different.
Projects are worked on with the conviction that what gets made matters.
